The Best Value School website is, by far, the best way for students of all ages to find colleges, universities and career schools that provide a valuable education, based on academics, student satisfaction and affordability. Best Value Schools put students first, providing a quality education at a reasonable price.

With thousands of higher education institutions in the U.S., it is often a painful process for prospective students, no matter what their age, to navigate the waters and find a school that combines quality education, career and professional direction AND financial value. The Best Value School Awards were created to do just that: fill the gaping hole left by the me-too rankings from publishers such as U.S. News & World Report, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, USA Today, Princeton Review and others. As higher education experts, we have crafted practical, useful information, removed quantitative “rankings” and replaced them with a professional qualitative assessment you can trust.

Not a ranking system

The prestigious Best Value School Award goes to colleges, universities and career schools that deserve recognition. Many of these institutions are little known outside their small circles. The Award honors schools that stand out for multiple reasons; to distinguish the unique and special from the generic, expensive and common, These schools are reviewed by former college presidents and CEOs and consider, among other things, cost and student feedback. If an institution is too expensive, it is eliminated from consideration.

No other award or ranking system insists that a school be reasonably priced AND loved by its students.

Most of these schools are little known, but eminently worthy of the attention and consideration of students who may otherwise not be aware of their offerings. We take into consideration the best interests of students, be they: first-time college students; students who aren’t happy with their current institution and looking to transfer; adults returning or continuing their education; or individuals changing careers.

Prestige: You can’t buy this honor; schools must earn it.

The Best Value School Award isn’t based on metrics. It’s a more personalized, in-depth look at what makes an institution stand out. Our experienced team of higher education executives, academics and entrepreneurs understand the challenges faced by schools and students; all too often, they cannot find each other as they compete for space in a crowd of larger, less student-friendly, expensive brand-name institutions.

Find schools that are different – in a good way.

Having been through our review and evaluation process, Best Value School Award recipients offer students a unique balance of academics, student life – whether on campus or online - and financial manageability. This award is a far cry from traditional ranking systems, and the schools that are recognized are quite unique in how they approach and treat students.
