4-year, Regionally accredited
Degrees: Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's
Consecutive Best Value School awardee Patten University, founded in 1944 but now an all-online institution, discourages its students from borrowing to cover the cost of their education. This school is one of the most affordable regionally accredited universities in the country. The majority of Patten's students are working adults who use their employer's tuition assistance or reimbursement program to cover most or all of the cost of attending. We like Patten’s academic model which allows students to complete as many courses as they can manage each term. We think this all-the-courses-you-can-digest option is a unique low-cost value proposition, especially for students who want to finish quickly without incurring loads of debt.
Patten’s faculty and student advisors, using a state-of-the-art online learning technology platform, have earned grants plus recognition from, among others, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Now we have awarded them their second consecutive Best Value School trophy.
Patten offers Bachelor's programs in leadership, management, and psychology, each with a choice of three concentrations, and an MBA degree with a choice of seven concentrations. Though working adults are Patten's target market, any student who is interested in a low-cost and flexible online undergraduate or graduate degree program should give Patten a close look.
