DRAFT

This is a very unique institution.  First, it is a college for women.  Second, our reviewers, when scanning the Internet for student comments about Agnes Scott College, found that this college’s positive ratings were among the strongest we had seen in the five years we’ve been applying our Best Value criteria to lesser-known colleges and universities.  Agnes Scott’s student and alumni love the place!  And third, it is affordable.  Even though “stocker price” hover in the $40K-$50K range, new students average slightly over $27K in financial aid; the Education Department shows a net cost to attend of $21K.

Located in the Metro Atlanta area (Decatur, GA), this is a bricks-and-mortar (i.e., all classroom based) college.  Racially mixed, which in our opinion is a good thing for the student body, 97% of whom are age 24 and under, Agnes Scott College offers popular bachelor programs in biology, social science, psychology, and public health.  We urge females seeking a good education in a great atmosphere to take a serious look at Agnes Scott College.

What our Students are Saying...

"I love my college. It is so cute, small, beautiful. Facilities are very nice. Teachers are good, classes are small so you get enough individual attention. Teachers all know you, even the building manager knows u by name. It's a great feeling of being included and remembered."

"I would have never discovered my inner strength and beauty if it had not been for the family I found at Agnes Scott College. I have truly blossomed as a leader here and even through all the ups and downs I do not regret my decision. Agnes forever!"

"Not only is the campus beautiful, but so are the faculty, staff, and students. Here at Agnes Scott College, you will meet some of the greatest people. These people will turn into great friends, who ultimately push you into working ten times harder than you ever have before."
