Located in Caldwell, about 30 minutes from Boise, The College of Idaho has great appeal for outdoor enthusiasts with rivers, forests, lakes and mountains within easy reach.  With about 1,000 students, almost all undergrads, this institution offers popular programs in business, health services, biology, and the social sciences.  These are all classroom/campus programs; there are no online courses as of yet.

With 96% of the student body under the age of 24 this school offers a young, traditional college experience.  With 30% of its students from out of state, The College of Idaho obviously appeals to a certain type of student.  Their Outdoor Program lessons, equipment and trips to take advantage of the surrounding area and its unique features.

Admissions standards appear to be somewhat lenient, with about 90% of applicants admitted, so this might be a great place to spend a few years earning an education while experiencing the great outdoors.  Cost to attend is treasonable (less than $20K per year) considering the College provides grants and scholarships to all students per data submitted to the Education Department.  Our research indicates most students love the school, its location, and the College community.
