Located in Caldwell, about 30 minutes from Boise, The College of Idaho has great appeal for outdoor enthusiasts with rivers, forests, lakes and mountains within easy reach. With about 1,000 students, almost all undergrads, this institution offers popular programs in business, health services, biology, and the social sciences. These are primarily classroom/campus programs, with a limited number of online classes available.
With 96% of the student body under the age of 24, this school offers a young, traditional college experience. With 30% of its students from out of state—including 8% international students—The College of Idaho appeals to a wide variety of students. Their Outdoor Program provides lessons, equipment and trips to help students take advantage of the surrounding area and its unique features.
The College of Idaho employs a distinctive undergraduate curriculum, PEAK, which allows students to earn a major and three minors in four years.
Cost to attend is reasonable (less than $20K per year) considering the College provides grants and scholarships to all students per data submitted to the Education Department. Our research indicates most students love the school, its location, and the close-knit College community.
