Presque Isle, Maine
4-year, Regionally accredited
Degrees: Associate's, Bachelor's
Although some prospective University of Maine at Presque Isle students may look forward to time on a small campus near the Canadian border, others may be concerned about attending a university located in a somewhat remote rural location. Not to worry, as over half this institution’s students attend classes online, the costs are uniquely reasonable (under $11K per year), and the academic programs, mainly bachelor’s degrees but some associate degrees in physical therapy and criminal justice, are career oriented.
Financial aid is generous, and even tuition levels for out-of-state students are comparably low, so attending Maine-Presque Isle won’t burden students with a lifetime of debt. For residents of Maine, this school is recommended, not only by us but importantly, by its current and former students. And for out-of-staters, it may be an interesting and rewarding experience to explore the merits of this school.
"This school feels like its own little community, and I absolutely love how welcoming it is. The faculty and staff work hard to not only please the students, but to also create lasting relationships. The friends I have made here within my first year is astounding, and I am so happy that I have chosen to attend this school."
