Degrees: Certificate, Associate's, Bachelor's

With an open admissions policy and a mission to provide its students with marketable academic credentials, the University of Arkansas at Monticello serves a student population that is mostly (80%) 24 and under.  Offering well-attended bachelor and master degree programs in education, this university addresses the need for qualified teachers in its geographic area.  Other programs in business, agriculture and physical education are also popular, as are certificates in child care, health specialties, and mechanical training.

This university has good online programs, the number of which grow each year, so we recommend checking the school’s website, or calling them, to learn of current online programs.  Tuition and fees, even for out-of-state students are very reasonable.  The majority of students have positive things to say about the University of Arkansas at Monticello, so if you’re looking for, say, a degree in the education field, we think you should take a look at open-admissions UAM.

What our Students are Saying...

"I love going to school at UAM, I like the small town and the reasonably small school. Unlike Fayetteville or some of the other larger campuses the professors actually seem to care, the classes are small enough to get one on one time with the professor."

"I like University of Arkansas at Monticello. It is affordable and worth the time spent there. I have learned a lot so far in the one year I have been there."

"We are the only university in Arkansas with an Agriculture program. We have cattle and livestock here on campus and have students from all over the state and out of state come to be a part of the Farming Industry. "
