4-year, Regionally accredited
Affiliation: Roman Catholic
Degrees: Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate
This reasonably priced (net annual cost $18K) Catholic institution is one of the more progressive universities we reviewed this year. They offer strong and popular programs in business, including an MBA program, and healthcare, including nursing bachelor and master’s programs. Of approximately 1500 students, about 600 are in graduate programs. Of the latter, most students (80%) attend fulltime.
Many students take courses online, and almost half are online-only. To us – we like good online programs – this is a sign of a progressive attitude in academics coupled with the practicality of marketable degrees. Evidently University of Saint Mary students, over a quarter of who are over 24, agree with us.
University of Saint Mary is somewhat selective with admissions policy, but we suggest you take a close look at them. And if you are looking for a residential, i.e., traditional bricks and mortar, college experience most of the students at Saint Mary’s love the campus…and the school.
