Originally nationally accredited, American Sentinel, as of June 30, 2016 is pre-accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, a regional accreditor. While searching student comments about the university we found several misconceptions regarding this institution’s nursing-specific accreditation. Our research found the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CNURED) has accredited American Sentinel’s nursing education programs at the baccalaureate and graduate degree levels. Further, the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (CLNUR) has accredited their Clinical Doctorate programs.
