A repeat Best Value School Designee, Brescia University offers both classroom and online programs with an even mix enrolled in each. Three-quarters of the school’s students are fulltime and over seventy percent are female, with half the students over the age of 24. A wide variety of academic programs are offered, among them social work, teacher education, and business, so prospective students can choose from several interesting fields of study. Unlike some schools, Brescia is committed to keeping its academic programs in tune with the job market; this improves graduates’ prospects for gainful employment.
The school is seriously dedicated to the transformation of its students, no matter ethnicity or religion. Faculty members host evening study sessions to give students an extra bit of attention. Brescia also has CARE team meetings to address the needs of at-risk students.
Student activities on campus include residence life, intramurals, campus ministry events, athletics, and the arts. Interestingly, Brescia has partnerships with local industries that provide off-campus learning opportunities plus study-abroad programs that enrich the learning experience.
